About

Unwind in this beautiful 1920's Historical home in Boise's walkable Northend. Timeless architecture is merged with modern luxury for a practical and comfortable stay. The large entryway greets you with large, bright windows and tasteful quartersawn oak hardwood floors. Bring out your inner chef in the kitchen designed by a chef from The Culinary Institue of America. You'll get to relax in a home filled with modern convenience and historical charm.

Good to know

The main level of the home is graced with beautiful quarter-sawn oak hardwood floors. The entryway foyer is welcoming and allows you the option of heading into the comfortable living room and adjacent workspaces or heading upstairs to 3 of the 4 bedrooms. Off of the living room is the formal dining, great for gathering for a meal. Just off the formal dining room is the large, open kitchen. You can cook to your heart's content and even sip your coffee and share a meal at the island bar. Behind the kitchen is a full bath that can be made private by simply closing the connecting door thereby making the main level bedroom en suite. Adjacent to the kitchen and dining is a flexible space good for setting up a buffet or working on your laptop. Within this space is access to the main level half bath. Upstairs is comfortably carpeted and well suited for a good night's sleep or an afternoon nap. There are three bedrooms with a full bath for two of the rooms, and the third room has an en suite with a shower. During the summer months, you can relax on the rooftop patio, enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise or sip a glass of wine and watch a sunset. Finally, downstairs, in the basement, there is a large unfurnished room that you're welcome to let the kids run around in, in the future, it may become a second living area with a theater. Also downstairs is the laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer.

Other Details to Note

The basement is unfurnished but you're welcome to use it. Please do not light a fire in either of the fireplaces. There is a door at the top of the stairs, upstairs that goes into the attic. Please do not go up there, for whatever strange reason. The rooftop patio is for your enjoyment, however, please do not leave children unattended up there. Also, do not wear high-heels, spikes, or any other sharp footwear on the rooftop balcony, it will puncture the rubber membrane. There is one TV in the house, located in the living room. If your group desires more on screen entertainment, you may want to bring a laptop.

House rules

House Rules 1. First things, first! - All bookings require a security deposit of $500 which will be charged at the time of booking according to Airbnb's deposit policy. We reserve the right to keep this deposit to cover any incidental damages during your stay. No damages? Airbnb will return your deposit per their terms (https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/140/how-does-airbnb-handle-security-deposits). 2. Is your name on our list? If more guests are staying at the property than the number originally stated in the booking, the security deposit will be charged in full. 3. Change of plans? If you decide to extend your stay after check-in, please contact us. We will do our best to accommodate you, but no promises! 4. Play safe! When you book this reservation, you take full responsibility for any bumps, bruises, accidents, or illnesses that occur in the property and any amenity spaces offered. If you notice anything that presents a danger yourself, anyone traveling with you, or at the property, please let us know as soon as you check-in. 5. Mind the neighbors, please! Parties or excessive noise is not allowed in our property, and quiet time is 10 pm-8 am - misbehavior costs $500. 6. Enjoy the fresh air! Feel free to smoke outside (and away from the property,) but please do not smoke indoors or near an open door or window-leaving behind a smoky property and/or cigarette butts costs $500. If the house smells like smoke, you’re losing your deposit. This includes vaping. Illegal drugs no thanks, not here, ever. 7. Humans on vacation (No pets....of any kind). We know you love your fuzzy friends, but this is a trip for you (unless otherwise agreed to in the current booking)! Our properties are for human-use only - break this rule and we’ll have to charge you $500. **If you’ve stayed at the property previously and had an approval to have a pet, it doesn’t mean that you have approval this time). 8. A clean home is a happy home. If the property is left in an exceptionally messy state, we will charge $100 for every extra hour of cleaning required. 9. Early check-ins. This property is regularly booked and our team does everything possible to prepare the home for your stay. The only time we can accommodate an early check-in is; 1. There is no guest checking out on the day of your check-in, or 2. The co-host gets the place ready because of a light schedule. Either way, we'll do our best, but please plan on checking in at the time stated in the check-in instructions. 10. Time is of the essence! Late checkouts will delay our cleaning professionals and result in a $100 charge for each hour. 11. Please don’t feed the dust bunnies. Our home comes stocked with living essentials, but we do not provide daily cleaning services. 12. Shoes off. Let's face it, it's cleaner when we leave the dirt outside! Please remember this is someone's home and they're a shoes-off type family and would appreciate it if you did the same. 13. Love to cook? Great! We have a chef's kitchen set up just for you. But please, don't leave strong odors from cooking (fish, curry, etc.). The next guest might not be as stoked about your culinary creativity. 14. Fireworks aren't allowed on, in, or around the property. 15. The second-story rooftop deck is a rubber membrane surface. While durable, it is subject to penetration if you wear heels, spikes, or other sharp shoes. It's a nice space, but please don't leave/allow children unattended. 16. Fireplaces are for display only, please do not build a fire in them. It will cause costly damage. 15. Let’s shake on it. When you make a reservation with us, you are agreeing to all of the above House Rules.

we loved tbis greaf house. sunlight streaming in at all windows, kitchen on garden patio! much biggef than images indicate, so much space!!! beautiful location. good linens and towels. we lived here for a week while visiting our student at BSU. We cooked and we ordered in and we dined out and we sat in the garden and we did handstands in the yard. We parked right in front of the house. It was a fantastic visit. We will be back.
